3. Cookies and Storage We Use
We use a small set of cookies and local storage to run our Service. On a few public sign-up pages we also use the Meta pixel to measure our ads (section 3.4). Inside your account there are no advertising cookies.
3.1 Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)
These cookies are necessary for the Service to function properly. They cannot be disabled. Without these cookies, services you have asked for cannot be provided.

Legal Basis: These cookies are necessary for the performance of our contract with you (providing the Service you signed up for) and for securing the Service. They do not require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy rules as they are strictly necessary.
3.2 Analytics
We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how visitors use our Service, allowing us to improve functionality and user experience.

Consent: On our public pages, visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland get analytics only after they accept in our banner; elsewhere it runs unless you say no in Your choice. Your choice is stored in your browser (see Section 3.3). Within the logged-in application, anonymized analytics run on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the Service; no advertising identifiers are used.
3.3 Functional Storage (Local Storage)
These items enable enhanced functionality and remember your preferences. They stay on your device.

3.4 Meta Pixel and Conversions API (Public Pages)
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To see which ads bring people to Harmony, we use Meta's pixel and its Conversions API.
- Where: only on our public sign-up pages (the homepage, the free 5-Day Challenge page and event pages). Never inside your account.
- What the pixel sends: the page you visit, and that a sign-up ("Lead", "CompleteRegistration") or a purchase ("Purchase") happened, with your IP address and browser details. It sets
_fbpand, after an ad click,_fbc(both 90 days); we keep a copy of the click id inharmony_fbcso the app can read it. - What our server sends: when you sign up or buy, our server reports the same event to Meta. Your email address (as a scrambled hash) and your account id are only included if you ticked the optional box at sign-up.
- What we never send: anything you tell Harmony, your answers, your reports or anything about your health. The product names we send do not mention ADHD.
- Who decides: in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, only after you say yes in our banner. Elsewhere it is on unless you say no below, and we honour Global Privacy Control. Under some US state laws this counts as "sharing" for advertising; saying no below is how you opt out.
- Meta's role: Meta receives this data and uses it under its own privacy policy.

This applies to this browser, and to your account if you are signed in (so our server sends Meta nothing about you either).
What We Don't Use
- No advertising cookies inside your account: the Meta pixel only runs on the public pages named in section 3.4
- No health information to advertisers: nothing you tell Harmony is ever sent to Meta or any other advertiser
- No selling for money: we never sell your data
4. Third-Party Services
Our Service uses minimal third-party services that may set their own cookies or use similar technologies:
4.1 Vercel Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused and:
- Does not use cookies for tracking individual users
- Collects only anonymized, aggregate data
- Does not share data with third parties
- Is GDPR compliant

4.2 Supabase
Supabase powers our authentication system. Their cookies are strictly necessary for login functionality.

4.3 Cloudflare Turnstile
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our signup page to protect against bots and automated abuse. Turnstile may use cookies or similar technologies strictly for security verification. For more information, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
4.4 Meta Platforms
The Meta pixel and Conversions API on our public pages, as described in section 3.4.
4.5 LiveKit (Body Doubling Feature)
When you use our body doubling feature with voice/video, LiveKit may use temporary session data to facilitate real-time communication. This data is not stored after your session ends.
4.6 Videos, GIFs and Links in the Community
Posts and comments in the community can contain content from other services. When one of these is on your screen (a post, a comment, or the small picture on a post in the feed), your browser loads it straight from that service, which receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies or use similar technologies, under its own privacy policy:
- Videos from YouTube (we use its privacy-enhanced mode, youtube-nocookie.com), Loom, Vimeo and Wistia, and their preview pictures (for Vimeo these come from vumbnail.com)
- GIFs from GIPHY
- Link previews: the picture shown with a link comes from the website it links to
We do not use these services to track you or for advertising. If you would rather not load them, you can block these sites in your browser settings; the rest of the community keeps working.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
5.1 Our Consent Banner
In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland we ask before enabling analytics and Meta measurement on our public pages. Wherever you are, you can change your answer at any time with Your choice in section 3.4.
5.2 Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:
- View what cookies are stored
- Delete cookies individually or entirely
- Block third-party cookies
- Block all cookies
- Set preferences for specific websites

5.3 Opting Out of Analytics
Saying no in Your choice (or in the banner) switches off Vercel Analytics and Meta measurement together.
6. Consequences of Disabling Cookies
If you choose to disable cookies, please note that:
- Essential cookies cannot be disabled. They are required for the Service to function. Blocking them will prevent you from logging in.
- Disabling functional storage: Your theme preference and consent choice may not be remembered between sessions.
- Declining analytics: This won't affect your experience, but it helps us improve the Service.
7. Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC), we treat it as a no to Meta measurement: the pixel stays off and our server sends Meta nothing about you, unless you said yes yourself. The older "Do Not Track" setting has no agreed meaning, so we use GPC as the signal. Essential cookies (signing in) keep working either way.
